About Mr. Keaney
I am a proud product of the Waltham Education System. Through Whittemore Elementary, South Junior High and finally graduating at the Waltham High School in 1986. I was not a very good student; I’ve been to summer school, got kept back in ninth grade and spent many days in indoor (and outdoor) suspension. Throughout my education I have found solace, strength and identity within the Art classes. I went on to study Illustration at The Art Institute of Boston, graduating with a BFA in 1991. After doing freelance illustration and graphic design for a number of years I decided to enter teaching, receiving my M.Ed. in Visual Art from Lesley University in 2003. I am an advocate for the arts and believe fully in its transformative power.
